LILI GOES BIGTIME

Independent film queen Lili Taylor is in talks to play the
lead role in a studio feature for the first time, reports
Variety. The DreamWorks remake of "The Haunting of Hill
House" is scheduled to be released by Christmas 1999. The
film is based on the Shirley Jackson novel of the same name.
The original 1963 feature, "The Haunting," starred Julie
Harris, Claire Bloom and Russ Tamblyn and was directed by
Robert Wise ("The Sound of Music"). The picture tells the
story of a group of people who gather in an old house to
determine whether a ghost is inside.
