This is the bike I rode during the 1995 and 1996 Midwest Racing Series. It is a maximum crank interference long short wheelbase with the front wheel tucked up under the crank about 10" in front of the head tube. Compound gearing and a front tandem type setup on the left complete the drivetrain. The shell is construction foam with 6oz fiberglass inside and out, the mounts are pvc pipe and fittings. Very Strong! Took several 30+ mph falls with only minimal damage.

This is the Bumblebee! The world famous most hated bike by Andrew Letton in 1993! Apparently at some time during the 1993 IHPSC he tried this bike and Hated It. As it is a testbed bike with only about 12,000 miles on it over about 10 years I find that it hasn't always been exactly what I wanted either. It has had four seats, three sets of stems and handlebars, three different drivetrains, and several paint jobs. Oh well, maybe someday I'll get it right, until then I'll just have to ride it.
Some more successful then others! More to be posted here
soon!
