A Brief Description of the 2LVCO Procedure

Advantages of Two-Line VCO (voice carry-over)
  • Enables you to establish a direct voice connection with called party. (Note - "vco" is a misnomer; the voice does not connect via relay)
  • Allows two-way uninterrupted conversation.
  • No "GA" needed
  • No intervention from CA needed at any time
  • For those with usable hearing, provides closer to real-time feedback on what you're hearing
  • Excellent resource for speech pathology and auditory therapy programs as well as new CI users.
  • Renders CA (caller assistant) "invisible."
  • No caller announcement
  • No "sideline" conversations between CA and called party
  • Leave a message right when you get an answering machine - no need to redial!
  • Make life easier for your correspondents. Have you ever watched a hearing person talk on a VCO conversation? She... has... to... talk... like... this.
