Nikon F3 Stereo Camera

Bernie Rausch of Moorehead is a long time camera repairman and stereo enthusiast. His favorite stereo camera is a siamesed Nikon F3 which he has made several of.

Bernie has been selling the camera for around $2,800, and has 3 more in production. If anyone is interested, they can contact Bernie at 218-233-7197 .

Realist Macro

It took Jim Laupan several years of tinkering to perfect it, but he finally was able to recreate the classic Realist Macro. Using a vintage Macro Jim was able to duplicate all of the parts and to actually make a few improvements. (Photo is of one of Jim's prototypes)

Jim has calumated the lenses to make a camera that he feels is even more accurate than the original. Jim uses a Realist body and a Prontar shutter (he found a supply of new/old stock shutters). Jim's $2,800 price tag is much lower than the current going price of an original Realist macro, and if you can supply a clean Realis body it will be even less. The complete package that Jim sells includes the camera, flash, distance guides, and carrying case.

For more information you can contact Jim at 763-571-0152 in the evenings and weekends.

Medium Format

If you are looking for a meduim format stereo camera with good quality lenses then look no further. Another creation of Jim Laupan is his pair of siamesed Polariod 110A's.

The cameras were modified to take 120mm roll film (takes two rolls at a time). The resulting images are 6 cm wide by 9 cm tall. At that size the images jump right out at you! Jim said that this was a "fun camera to put together", and that if any one was interested, he was sure he could make another one up. He figured that the camera would cost around $800 - $1000 to make depending on the condition of the cameras that the buyer must supply (ed. - I sold one not too long ago for $65, so they are not that expensive).
