Cayman Island's Links

This spring break my family meandered down to the Grand Cayman. We were accompanied by Tim Morse of Middlebury College and Lisa Stein of St. Paul Academy. We all stayed at the Villas of the Galleon on seven mile beach.

Tim and I were in this paradise from March 23rd until March 31st, although we went to Hell on the 30th. We spent the bulk of our days playing and tanning on the beach and taking advantage of the world class scuba diving. On our final day, Tim and I took a scooter tour and wrecked chaos on the northeast side of the island. The weather was fabulous throughout our visit.

The diving was the highlight of the trip. We dove surrounded by sharks, turtles, eels, stingrays, and a dolphin. The favorite dive site was Texas Hole, where we swam through holes and caves in the coral. The killer whale is probably what made the dive so memorable. We tried to get a picture of it, but the underwater camera leaked and ruined the film. These other pictures will need to suffice instead.
